Kerouac believed that we all have life dreams. And because we all dream, we are all linked by the thread of having our own wishes.

Dreams are a way for us to connect because we share the same way of thinking and imagining what we can achieve in life. So, how do I achieve my desires?

How can I achieve whatever I desire in life?

Finding out we can all imagine the life we want is reassuring. Consider the following ideas as a way to stay open to your desires:

  1. Recognize what is truly important to you. Maybe you want to start your own business, travel the world, or own a small plot of land with a modest house. Consider your deepest desires.
  2. Make your life an illustration of your most cherished dreams. The best wish you can make for yourself is that you demonstrate to yourself and others what your dreams are in your daily life. In a nutshell, live your dreams.
  3. Encourage yourself to think about your dreams on a daily basis. Regardless of how busy you are, think about the specifics of your life’s dreams at some point during the day. You can even do it several times a week at the same time. For instance, if you have a fifteen-minute break at work in the morning, you could use that time to reflect on your dreams.
  4. Recognize that having wishes and hopes is a natural part of being human. Dreaming is never silly or childish. As Jack Kerouac put it, everyone has wishes and hopes for how they want their lives to be.  The same is true for you.
  5. Tell someone about your deepest desires. Hearing yourself speak about your dreams is motivating and can help you identify the goals you truly want to pursue. Give it a shot.

We’re all in this life together, each of us creating our own personal miracles.  The sooner you accept this concept, the easier it will be for you to become more positive and open with yourself and others about your dreams.
