For quite a few people, the thought they are destined to be disappointed with their lives is at the top of their list. They all had high hopes and wanted a lot out of life when they were younger. You might feel this way too. You find yourself in a boring job, doing the same routine things day in, day out. Not to mention you are at everybody’s beck and call. Sometimes life gets in the way of your dreams. You can seem to catch a break. There has got to be something better.
Back in our great-grandparents’ time, people expected much less and they didn’t want much out of life anyway. People seemed more content in those days. Discounting they had to hitch up a wagon, they rarely traveled beyond the area where they were born. They usually only knew the “3 R’s” and they didn’t need an extensive eduction.
Things are different today. You probably went to college – and even if you didn’t, your high school education was like getting a doctorate 100 years ago. You’ve probably traveled moved around a bit from your home town. I’m willing to bet you’ve visited another state, if not another country.
Mighty Big Idea
So your horizons are wider than your great-grandparents, your grandparents, and probably your parent’s too. They’re certainly wider than the teachers in high school who pushed you down a safe, steady route. You know: Study hard, get a good job, get married, start a family, yada yada yada.
Too soon, your hopes and dreams get pushed aside. Well, it’s time to get back to reassessing your goals.
Our newest course, Mighty Big Idea, dives deep into your passion. What do you want to do? Are you ready?
Everything about your Mighty Big Idea is inside you. You just need to let it loose.
Lots of those things you wanted when you were young are likely still doable. OK, if you’ve got a family with young kids, spending a year mountain climbing in the Himalayas is probably out – but what about that business you wanted to start? Is it still viable? If not, can it be modified to fit current conditions? What about that novel you wanted to write?
Start thinking about what you can do to get your life more like the one you always wanted and make your Mighty Big Idea.
